Cultural exchange
We are dedicated to facilitate local Shakespearean creation. Significant works such as Titus Andronicus, Titus Andronicus 2.0 and The Tragedy of Macbeth have been invited to various international arts festivals. We represented Hong Kong to participate in the The Globe to Globe Festival of the 2012 World Shakespeare Festival, as part 2012 London Cultural Olympiad. To further enhance Shakespeare’s influence, we have presented the 1st Hong Kong International Shakespeare Festival in 2024. Your support helps us accomplish this arts mega event, enhance cultural exchange, nurture local talents as well as enrich arts culture.
Creation
The Studio have produced 20 creations to date. Many of them became classics. Creation is our mission. Despite the impact of the pandemic, recent productions include Scenes from a Marriage, Larger Than Life, King Lear and Bhagavad Gita. Your support is vital to the actualization of our productions and the arts development of Hong Kong.
Cultivating the next generation
Established in 2014, (PTI) Physical Theatre Youth Training Programme aims to provide methods for new generation to express themselves through their bodies. Since its inauguration, more than 500 students graduated from this programme. PTI was awarded The Award for Arts Education (Non-school unit) by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council in 2015. Your support help these young talents build a strong foundation for their future arts development.
